Nimul ETA15

Ethoxylated tallow amine with an average of 15 moles of ethylene oxide. A water-soluble emulsifier, dispersant, wetting agent and corrosion inhibitor.

Description

Nimul ETA15 is a tertiary amine surfactant made by reacting tallow amine with an average of 15 moles of ethylene oxide (polyoxyethylene (15) tallow amine). It is a water-soluble liquid that is mildly cationic in character and becomes more nonionic as the ethoxylation level rises.

Chemical name: Amines, tallow alkyl, ethoxylated (average 15 mol EO). Also known as POE (15) tallow amine, PEG-15 tallow amine and polyoxyethylene (15) tallowalkylamines. The CAS number 61791-26-2 is the general number for tallow amine ethoxylates of all EO levels.

Key features

  • Water-soluble ethoxylated tertiary amine
  • Emulsification and lubricity, including in metalworking fluids
  • Corrosion inhibition and dispersing action
  • Wetting and dispersing agent
  • Antistatic action in textile formulations
  • Stable in alkaline media

Applications

Typical use level: the dosage depends on the application and formulation. Determine the right level through trials in your own system.
